Board Eliminates Testing Window Limitation effective July 1, 2020 – No More “Blackout” Periods

Effective July 1, 2020, Louisiana exam candidates can retake a test section if necessary once their grade for a previous attempt of the same test section has been officially released.  The exam will be offered year-round.

 

NTS extensions (revised May 11, 2020)

The Board adopted the following update:  The Notice to Schedule (NTS) for all candidates with NTS expirations between April 1 – December 30 will be extended until December 31, 2020.  Candidates will see automatic extensions to the NTS which will be updated by CPA Exam Services (CPAES).

 

Expiring Exam Credits due to Test Center Closures (revised May 11, 2020)

The Board adopted the following update:  All exam credits for Louisiana candidates expiring between April 1 – through December 30, 2020 will be automatically extended to December 31, 2020.  Candidates should see those exam credits updated on their individual account with CPA Exam Services (CPAES).

Many CPE vendors are offering significantly more CPE courses online in response to the COVID-19 stay-at-home mandates.  As a reminder, there is no limit to the number of CPE hours a Louisiana CPA can earn through online courses.
